The World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI) would like to announce recent organisational changes at Board level.

After more than four years of successfully leading the WNTI as Chair, David Ohayon has announced his resignation from the Board as a result of a role change within the French nuclear industry. Chris Watson, existing Board member from our Founder Member Nuclear Transport Solutions (NTS), has subsequently taken up the position of Chair of the WNTI Board. Founder Member, Orano, have concurrently appointed Thibault Louvet to the WNTI Board. Thibault is well known to the WNTI community as a result of his contributions to the WNTI Advisory Committee.

“I would like to thank and applaud our former Chair, David Ohayon, for the leadership and direction that he has contributed to our WNTI during his time as our Chair. We have a strong position, a healthy strategy and look forward to a very exciting future and this has been attained under David’s sound leadership. As we begin our next chapter, I would also like to welcome Chris Watson as our incoming Chair of the Board. Chris’ counsel has long been a key feature of WNTI Board activity and his proven track record of strong leadership will, without doubt, preserve WNTI’s position and introduce new directions and innovations. It is also appropriate to welcome Thibault Louvet to the WNTI Board. Having worked closely with Thibault in recent years, I am extremely pleased that our Board will now benefit from Thibault’s experience and direction as we take WNTI forward.”

– Martin Porter, WNTI Secretary General

“I am both honoured and excited to become the new WNTI Chair. WNTI has had a hugely successful 23 years so far and is ready to enter a new chapter to secure the future for safe, secure, reliable, efficient and sustainable nuclear transport. In taking up the Chair, I will encourage ambition, creativity and innovation as well deliver outcomes that serve the members and the sector.”

– Chris Watson, New WNTI Chair
