WNTI Partners with the New Chadwick Institute for Nuclear Innovation at the University of Liverpool

Last week the World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI) established itself as a foundational contributor to the newly unveiled Chadwick Institute for Nuclear Innovation at the University of Liverpool. Named in honour of Nobel laureate Sir James Chadwick, the pioneer who discovered the neutron, the Institute launches with WNTI’s involvement from the start.

The partnership was formalised at the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA) European Congress in Liverpool. WNTI CEO, Professor Peter Bryant, signed a tri-partite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) alongside representatives from the University of Liverpool and the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP). This agreement creates a formal pathway to align advanced academic research directly with the real-world regulatory and logistical requirements of the nuclear transport sector.
