Yukio Okabe Concludes 3-Year Secondment at WNTI as the Engineering and EPR Specialist

“My time at WNTI over these last 3 years has been incredibly fulfilling. During my secondment to WNTI, I was the secretariat for the Back-End Transport Working Group, Spent Fuel Management Working Group, and Emergency Preparedness and Response Working Group, in addition to representing WNTI at IAEA EPReSC meetings. This role offered unique and stimulating challenges that pushed me beyond my previous experiences, but I was able to do my best with the support of the people I engaged with. I am profoundly grateful for the support I have received from the bottom of my heart. Although I will now be re-joining Nuclear Fuel Transport, a WNTI member, and so this marks not an end but rather a new chapter in my story with WNTI. Here’s to the continued success of WNTI—I look forward to our paths crossing again soon.”
