WNTI have, for many years, visited the World Maritime University (WMU), Malmo, Sweden to deliver a lecture on maritime transport of Class 7 Radioactive Material.
This year, Capt. Simon Chaplin delivered the lecture which, due to the current travel restrictions, was delivered via Zoom.
These lectures form part of the support that WNTI give to the WMU. Students at the WMU are from all nations, including small island and developing states (SIDS). WNTI provides sponsorship to allow a student to attend the WMU. Often, students from the WMU will later represent their countries in the International Maritime Organization (IMO), or work for their national maritime agencies.
