Westinghouse Contract with Energoatom Regarding Feasibility Study for Deployment of AP1000 Reactors

In July, Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) announced that it signed a new contract with Energoatom, to provide technical information to support a feasibility study regarding the construction of two Westinghouse AP1000 reactors at Energoatom’s Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plant in Ukraine.

Westinghouse and Energoatom previously signed an agreement to construct two AP1000 plants and begin the reactor licensing process in Ukraine.  Earlier this year, Westinghouse and Energoatom amended their existing agreements for the supply of nuclear fuel to include supply for all nuclear fuel for Energoatom nuclear power plants.
