New WNTI Working Group Launches

The Maritime Applications and Nuclear Propulsion (MANP) Working Group

Join Working Group
WNTI are delighted to announce the launch of The Maritime Applications and Nuclear Propulsion (MANP) Working Group.

This new working group will be a forum for members to discuss and develop rules frameworks for the deployment of next generation reactors at sea. This will include Nuclear Propulsion, Floating Nuclear Power Plants, Offshore SMR’s used for Hydrogen production, maritime transport of SMR’s etc.

This first, extraordinary inaugural, meeting will include setting aims and objectives for the 2021-22, and beyond.

The decarbonisation of energy intense sectors including industry and international shipping will require a step change in the deployment of atomic power. The maritime applications and nuclear propulsion working group is working towards the deployment of new nuclear reactors at sea to facilitate this.

The Maritime Applications and Nuclear Propulsion (MANP) Working Group meeting will take place on 1 September 2021
