Toshiro Umeda

Toshiro Umeda first joined the Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. in 1990.

At the start of 1993, he began working in the nuclear fuel cycle department, where he was in charge of overseeing front-end contracts, back-end contracts, budgeting and planning.

After 7 years’ service at CEPCO, he was seconded to the Federation of Electric Power Companies (FEPC) and worked for them until 2003.

Since 2010, Toshiro was seconded again, this time to Overseas Reprocessing Committee (ORC) for a period of 3 years.

Toshiro is currently General Manager of the Transport Headquarters for ORC since being seconded again in July 2019.

His hobbies include jogging, watching sports and the kitchen garden.
