Alison Hammond joined WNTI as a nominated non-executive director from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority with effect from 11th September 2024. Alison is a senior finance professional with over twenty years’ experience across the technology, defence and nuclear sectors. A business graduate of the University of Leeds, Alison began her career at EY where she gained expertise in internal controls, financial accounting and risk management. Moving to BAE Systems, then Rolls-Royce and now Nuclear Restoration Services, Alison has held a range of finance roles where she led finance teams and delivered complex change programmes. In addition to her corporate experience, Alison has been a charity trustee and is now a pensions trustee, being recently appointed as Chair of the Governance & Audit Committee for the scheme. As a non-executive director, Alison aims to leverage her financial acumen and strategic insight to support WNTI in achieving its objectives while ensuring robust governance and accountability.
