ISO TC85 SC5 WG4 October 2023

ISO is a nongovernmental body with a mission to promote the development of standardization and related activities worldwide. Technical Committee 85 (TC85) deals with nuclear energy, nuclear technologies and radiological protection; standards relating to the transport of radioactive materials are dealt with by the ISO Working Group 4 (WG4: Transportation of radioactive material) in the Sub-Committee 5 (SC5: nuclear installations, processes and technologies) WNTI are represented at ISO/TC85/SC5/WG4 by Yukio Okabe, WNTI Specialist.

The 10th meeting of ISO TC85 SC5 WG4 will be held on 26th October 2023 in virtual.

This meeting is mainly to discuss:

1. ISO 7195 amendment (welded 1S/2S and new valve)
2. Ballot conclusion on “IP-2 containers standard” consultation
3. Update of “dose rate/contamination measurement standard”
4. ISO 12807 review cycle
