A meeting of the WNTI New Applications Committee took place at the mid year SAMM, held in Liverpool, UK, on 11th and 12th June 2026.

The meeting was chaired by Scott Edwards (Core Power) and Giulio Gennaro (Newcleo).

During this meeting, there were two Task Groups introduced.

The Transport of TNPPs by Land and Sea Task Group was presented by its Chair, James Leybourn (Cambridge Atomworks).

The New Nuclear Fuels Transport Task Group was presented by the Secretariat, as the TG is going through the process of appointing a Chair.
