Akira Mikami first joined the Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. in 2006.

In 2006 he started working in the fuel department, where he was in charge of overseeing investments in the upstream equity of gas fields and coal mines.

From 2016 to 2023, he handled investment in the upstream equity of gas fields and coal procurement at JERA, a joint venture between Tokyo Electric Power and Chubu Electric Power.

From 2023 to 2026, he was in charge of back-end nuclear fuel operations and transportation at Chubu Electric Power.

In 2026, Akira was seconded to Federation of Electric Power Companies (FEPC) and is currently General Manager of Transport Headquarters at ORC.
