Date & Time:

Location:

Online

About the event

The event is organized by the Transport Facilitation Working Group, of which WNTI is a member. It is aimed at Member States considering appointing a National Focal Point (NFP) for denials of shipments of radioactive material.  I believe it is relevant to WNTI members, as sometimes MS will assign someone from industry to carry out this role. Also, industry can encourage their governments to appoint an NFP.

The event is repeated on the second day, to give more people the opportunity to attend.

Day 1: Thursday 22 July 10.00 – 12.00 UK BST

Day 2: Friday 23 July 16.00 – 18.00 UK BST

More information

  • The main tasks of a National Focal Point

There will be a welcome address by IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi.
