70th IAEA General Conference

WNTI is pleased to announce that its team will be attending the 70th Regular Session of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference, which will take place at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) in Vienna, Austria, from 14 to 18 September 2026.

As the IAEA’s highest policy-making body, the General Conference brings together government representatives, international organizations, industry leaders, and experts from across the global nuclear sector to discuss key developments, priorities, and challenges facing the industry.

Alongside the General Conference, the IAEA Scientific Forum will be held on 15 and 16 September 2026. This year’s theme, “Rays of Hope: Delivering on the Promise of Cancer Care,” will highlight the role of nuclear science and technology in improving access to cancer diagnosis, treatment, and care worldwide.

WNTI will also participate in a Member State side event, ‘A milestone in addressing transport difficulties: The White Paper on the Facilitation of the Safe and Secure Transport of Radioactive Material’, organised by Canada, France, Switzerland, the UK, WNA and WNTI. The side event will present the White Paper on the Facilitation of the Safe and Secure Transport of Radioactive Material. It will feature addresses from Member States and industry looking at the impacts of delays and denials, and some solutions to these issues.
