Kenji Miyata

Director
Nuclear Fuel Transport Co., Ltd.,

Kenji Miyata began his career at Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. in April 1986. Over the years, he held various leadership roles in the nuclear energy sector, including positions in nuclear fuel cycle planning, nuclear power generation, and severe accident countermeasures. He also served as Director of the Paris Office in 2011.

From 2014 onward, he took on increasingly senior roles, including Deputy General Manager of the Nuclear Power Division and Plant Manager of the Takahama Nuclear Power Station. In 2019, he oversaw both nuclear safety and nuclear fuel departments.

In June 2021, he transitioned to Nuclear Fuel Transport Co., Ltd., becoming Executive Managing Director and Head of the Rokkasho Transportation Office, responsible for the Aomori region. In October 2022, he was appointed President and Representative Director of the company.
